Half an hour down the A60. Mansfield and the Ashfield estates send us more vans and pickups than any other area, and a steady run of hot hatches alongside them.
Send the reg and we come back with the figures for your exact engine and a fixed price.
No obligation. We price it before anything is touched.
A large slice of what arrives from Mansfield is a Ranger, a Hilux or an L200 that tows. The complaint is almost never about top speed — it is that the vehicle runs out of pull on a hill with a trailer behind it and drops two gears to recover.
That is a torque-curve problem and it is exactly what a properly written file addresses. More pull between 1,800 and 2,800rpm means it holds a gear where it used to hunt.

The trade estates around Sutton and Kirkby run a lot of small fleets, and fleets have a different priority again: consistency. Every vehicle mapped the same way, so a driver moving between vans does not notice a difference.
Above three or four vehicles we come to the yard. It is quicker for you and it means the vans are off the road for a morning rather than a day each.
The other half of Mansfield is Fiestas, Corsas and Golfs where the owner wants it quicker. Nothing wrong with that, and a Stage 1 on a healthy turbo petrol does it properly.
What we will not do is write an aggressive file for a car with 130,000 miles and a clutch on its way out. We will tell you the clutch is the limit and quote that instead.
Mansfield and Mansfield Woodhouse. The bulk of our commercial work starts here.
Sutton-in-Ashfield and Kirkby. Trade estates, so vans and pickups.
Shirebrook, Warsop, Rainworth. Longer rural runs and a lot of 4x4s.
Ollerton and Edwinstowe. Agricultural and forestry, where torque matters more than speed.
The road most Mansfield customers use. Half an hour, no motorway.
How the trade vehicles get to us when they are coming off a job.
About half an hour on the A60, or slightly less using the A38 and the M1 if you are coming from the Sutton side.
Usually yes, and more than you would expect. The gain that matters is in the middle of the rev range where towing actually happens, not at the top.
Above three or four vehicles, yes. We come to the yard and invoice monthly, which keeps the vans working.
Yes, but tell us first. A file already on the car changes what we read off it, and finding out halfway through costs time we would have to charge for.
On a healthy one, yes. On a tired one it brings forward a failure that was coming anyway. The health check tells us which you have before we start.
We stop and ring you. The conversation becomes about a repair rather than a map, and you pay for the diagnostic rather than the remap.
Software-only jobs we do at your address — driveway, office car park or yard. Anything that needs measuring comes to the unit, because a rolling road does not travel.
Tell us the job and we will say which one it is before you book.
Send the registration and what you want from the car. We come back with the figures for your exact engine and a fixed price, usually the same day.
