Software only, on an otherwise standard car. No parts come off, nothing is cut out, and the file that was on it is kept. For most cars this is the whole job.
Send the reg and we come back with the figures for your exact engine and a fixed price.
No obligation. We price it before anything is touched.
Your engine already holds a calibration file — a set of tables telling it how much fuel to inject, how much boost to run and when to light it. A remap reads that file off the ECU, rewrites those tables for your specific car, and writes it back.
Nothing is bolted on and nothing is removed. That is the difference between Stage 1 and everything above it, and it is why Stage 1 is reversible in a way the later stages are not.
A factory calibration has to work in every market the car is sold into — different fuel quality, different climates, owners who skip services. So it is written conservatively, with a margin left unused on top.
Recalibrating for one car in one country on decent fuel is why the same engine on the same hardware makes meaningfully more. We are using headroom the manufacturer left, not inventing power.
We work inside what the standard hardware can take. If your intercooler, clutch or fuelling is the thing holding the engine back, a harder file will not fix it — it will just find the limit faster.
When that is the case we say so and quote the hardware, rather than selling you an aggressive Stage 1 and calling it a result.
We connect to the car and take a copy of exactly what is on it. That copy is kept on our system, so it can always go back.
The file is recalibrated for your engine — including the torque limiters around it — inside what the hardware was built to take.
It goes back on, the car is checked over and measured. You leave with the before and the after, on paper.
Six rows from our own records, all measured on the same dyno.

Your car is in the same database. Put the registration in and the calculator shows its figures.
Put the registration in. If we have had one of these on our dyno you will see what it actually made. If we have not, you will see the range that kind of engine usually gives, and we will say so.
Measured on our own dyno, standard hardware, same day.
Stage 2 depends entirely on which parts are on the car, so we will not publish a figure for it. Bring it in and we will measure what it makes first.
Every published figure came off our own four-wheel dyno. Vehicle details come from the DVSA record. Contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0.
On a healthy, serviced engine, yes — it works inside the margins the manufacturer built in, which is why it needs no parts. Where we would not do it is on an engine with a known fault or an overdue service.
It can. A manufacturer can decline a claim it decides is tuning related, and you must declare a remap to your insurer. Both are your call.
Yes. Your original file is archived and goes back on free within 30 days if you are not happy. After that we still hold it, and reinstating it is charged at the hour.
Put the registration in and the calculator will show the figures for your exact engine, from cars we have actually run.
No, but they are included and almost everyone takes them. Without a measurement, the figure is a claim.
Same process, different file. On a diesel doing motorway miles it usually pays for itself; on a petrol it does very little and we will say so.
Software-only jobs we do at your address — driveway, office car park or yard. Anything that needs measuring comes to the unit, because a rolling road does not travel.
Tell us the job and we will say which one it is before you book.
Send the registration and what you want from the car. We come back with the figures for your exact engine and a fixed price, usually the same day.
