What you are agreeing to when we work on your car — including the parts most tuners leave out.
These are the terms you agree to when you have work done by Redline Performance Ltd, company number 13402277, Unit 9, Lenton Industrial Estate, Lilac Grove, Nottingham, NG9 1PL.
Figures shown on this site and in a quote are what comparable vehicles have produced on our dyno. They are an expectation, not a promise, because two identical cars in different condition do not make identical power.
What we do promise is that we measure yours. If it makes less than expected, that is the number you will be shown, and we will tell you why rather than print something else.
A slot is held for you. Cancel or move it with more than 24 hours’ notice and there is no charge. Inside 24 hours, or if the vehicle does not arrive, we may charge for the time — particularly for rolling road sessions, where the bay is booked by the hour.
If we cancel, you get the slot back at your convenience and nothing is charged.
Every vehicle is health checked and fault-code scanned before anybody opens the ECU. If that finds a problem, we stop and speak to you. We will not write a file around a known fault.
Tuning increases the load on components that are already wearing. A clutch near the end of its life, a tired turbo or a failing intercooler may give up sooner afterwards. Where we can see it beforehand we will say so; where it is not visible, this is a risk you accept in asking for more power.
If you are not happy with how the car drives, bring it back within 30 days and we will reinstate your original file free of charge and refund the cost of the remap.
It covers software. It does not cover parts that were fitted, dyno time already used, or a vehicle that has been tuned again elsewhere in the meantime. It is a guarantee about how the car drives, not a right to keep the file and have the money back.
Warranty: a manufacturer or warranty provider may decline a claim it decides is related to tuning. A remap does not automatically void an entire warranty, but it can affect a claim on the engine, gearbox or driveline. Check your own terms — that decision is yours, not ours.
Insurance: you must declare a remap to your insurer. Most will cover it, often for little or nothing. Not declaring it can invalidate the policy entirely, which is a far more expensive problem than the premium. We will provide written confirmation of what was done if your insurer wants it.
Work is paid for on completion by card or bank transfer. Fleet and trade accounts are invoiced monthly on agreed terms, and late payment may carry interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
Where we damage your vehicle through our own negligence, that is our responsibility and it is insured. Tell us before you leave rather than afterwards — it is far easier to establish while the car is still with us.
We do not accept liability for damage arising from a pre-existing condition we identified and flagged before starting, for the consequences of a component failing that was already worn, or for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable. Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Nothing here removes your legal rights. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 a service must be carried out with reasonable care and skill, within a reasonable time, and for a reasonable price where none was agreed. If something falls short you are entitled to have it put right, and where that is not possible, to a price reduction.
Speak to whoever did the work first — most things are sorted on the spot. If not, ask for the manager or put it in writing to the address above and we will respond within 14 days. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
